As an observance for the tragedies of September 11, 2001, and to
promote harmony among the faith groups, the Inter-Religious Council
along with The University Clergy Association, Mecklenburg Ministries, and the United Religions Initiative jointly sponsored this meaningful event that featured the Unlimited Praise Gospel Choir, Cantor Elias Roochvarg, and The Charlotte Community Drummers. The theme of the program was "The Golden Rule" and each faith read scripture to reflect our common belief in "doing unto others as you would have them do unto you."  The program concluded with children's choirs from Holy Covenant United Church of Christ and St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church leading the congregation in "Let There Be Peace On Earth".
